List

Here is a list of the tunes that I'm listening to. I try only to pick the tunes which really appeal to me, so I'd hope they are a decent recommendation to anyone. I generally only list 'lesser' known songs. They are not sorted by when I first heard them, but rather by the time I managed to actually get my hands on them, and actually start listening to them regularly...
Take a look at the mp3 organizer I made, very handy for anyone collecting by label.

2006

May 06
Artist: Roman Debnar
Tracks: Unfortunately I think I "pushed the envolope" a bit too far last month with my minimal overdose, it was the first time in a while that I already had many of the tunes my favourtie artists would release for the following month. So this month was a bit of a tail-end of the minimal tech house, and a bit of a unkown transition phase.

April 06
Artist: Sleeparchive
Tracks: This was a great month of funky minimal tech house discoveries. I realised I'd forgotten about Dahlbäck & Sten, and haden't updated some of my older favourite label collections. Plus a lot of neat discoverys on the way thanks to Poker Flat playlists.

March 06
Artist: Alexander Robotnick
Tracks: Nothing really much new this month. Not many new discoveries, just going over some old stuff. Have been listening to older retro computer generated music. Seems theres a bit of Gabriel Ananda related theme in my choices this month.

February 06
Artist: Maximilian Skiba
Tracks: This month was a bit of a tie for the artist, but I think Maximilian Skiba takes it over Hugg & Pepp. Besides, its mostly just Hugg (John) that I like anyway. Lets give the new guy a break. I had a hard time choosing which track I liked best from Randez-Vous Over Mars, they are pretty much all good.

January 06
Artist: Tiefschwarz
Tracks: Okay, so a slow start to the year - I was on holidays. Tiefschwarz tops the artist list because of thier mixing talent. (No, its no coincidence that both the tunes come from the 6th season. It was the only new thing I had on the iPod, although I actually decided I liked Komm when it was played live (SummerFieldDayz) from Tiefschwarz.)

December 05
Artist: D. Diggler
Tracks: Well D.Diggler gets it - not because of anything particularly outstanding, but just plenty of good quality tunes. As you can see, this month was basically a summing up of the Raum...Musik label tunes.

November 05
Artist: Martinez
Tracks: Would you believe they are now playing "Rocker" and "Geht's Noch?" on the normal teeny-bopper radio stations? And here I was thinking I had 'unique' music tastes. Ohwell, good for Flügel I guess. For some reason I've had Ferry Corsten - Punk stuck in my head for weeks now. So on the list it goes. Spent most of this month listening to Raum...musik, really great 'chilling'/'listening' music, just put it on and sit back as the hours float by.

October 05
Artist: Duoteque
Tracks: Kompakt and associated labels got a bit of play. Had a bit of a electro-techno month, but still with a nice mixture of minimal tunes. (I should mention Rex the Dog is JX, who is part of Planet Perfecto. Just because there seems to be much confusion over who he is..)

September 05
Artist: Jeff Bennett
Tracks: A "T" label music month, Traum, Trapez, Thinner, basically anything 'deep' or 'slow'. Also Moon Harbor Records for good measure. A step away from techno this month and into deep house.

August 05
Artist: Sven Väth
Tracks: Discovered some good netlabels. Thinner stands out. Again, a minimal month, with a bit of pop/house. The Cocoon E compilation and Force Tracks 50 were the mainstay mix discs this month.

July 05
Artist: Trentemøller
Tracks: Mostly down tempo, a revival of the old K&D and Layo&Bushwacka collections. Dark City has been a favourite tune for a long time now. Didn't do a lot of discovering this month, so Trentemøller stays at the top..

June 05
Artist: Trentemøller
Tracks: Another minimal month. Labels getting playtime were mostly Poker Flat Recordings, Areal Records, Kompakt and artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Gabriel Ananda, and Trentemøller.

May 05
Artist: Akufen
Tracks: This month its back to the minimal sounds, and really delved into the microhouse subgenre. Mostly listening to music by label, Poker Flat Recordings is toping the playlist and Trapez and Sub Static getting their fair share too. Mostly listening to Akufen, Jeff Samuel and Steve Bug. Also had a bit of progressive hip hop (Ugly Duckling, DJ Format) on the playlist to add balance.
(censored Akufen's track name to get through filters)

April 05
Artist:Mathew Jonson
Tracks: Got back into the techno this month; Sven Väth, Ignition Technician, Misstress Barbara and Gaetek. I'd like to add a new Roman Flügel release to this list, but its still white label, and I have no idea what the title is. Finaly manged to get my hands on Mathew Jonson - Decompression, this is a great tune Sven was playing a lot during my time at Cocoon in Frankfurt. Also, it appears Valentino Kanzyani has decided to release a version of Leliwa (Take Off/Leliwa) with some horrible vocals ontop. Needless to say it totally ruins the tune, but I guess everyone has to make some money,..

March 05
Artist: Legowelt(Danny Wolfers)
Tracks: Big electro/electronic influence this month. Mostly listening to Kraftwek, Cristian Morgenstern and Legowelt. Aux Talk Funkativity and Leliwa I had on repeat a lot, they just have some wonderfull samples in them.. Oh and the EP with Leliwa on it was deliberatly mis-spelt to avoid filters.

February 05
Artist: Umek(Uros Umek)
Tracks: Mostly listening to techno, Umek and Sven Vath mostly. Started really liking a lot of Umek's stuff previously, and managed to get a hold of some of his tunes he produced under some of his alias's.
